My heart is broken for you. When I met you in Chicago, although I knew that you and Mark were battling his cancer together, your amazing positive spirit and your brilliant smile were all I saw. Your bravery is inspirational! I hope you find comfort in the huge outpouring of love I'm seeing for you in blogland.
I've heard this poem many times over the years, and it always comforts me. I hope that you find some too.
Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep
by Mary Elizabeth Frye
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
That was lovely, Gilly.
