Opposite!

You know what's super cool?  Remember when you were at your fattest...or on your way to getting to your fattest?  You had clothes that you loved, and you'd wash them and take them out of the dryer, and every time you'd put them on, you'd have that little worry in the pit of your stomach that they'd be tight.  Or when seasons changed, and you took your jeans out of the closet (or the drawer, or off the shelf...how the hell do I know where you people keep your jeans) and you were scared to put them on because what if they were too tight, and you kind of knew that they were going to be.

Well right now, everything is the OPPOSITE of that!!  Every time I put something on, I wonder...is this going to be too big on me?  Can I still wear this or is it too baggy now?  Or when my fat girl brain cells give me that little twinge of worry that something is going to be tight, my thin girl brain cells turn to them and go "no doofus...she's SMALLER now than the last time she wore that...it will be BIGGER on her now" and then they roll their eyes at them.

That is SO much better than the other way!

  4. My fat girl brain cells are always rolling their eyes at me!

And I agree with Catherine. I use the dryer to shrink my clothes. It's no longer the devil!!

  5. Ditto. I've also loved going through all those "skinny clothes" I saved, dreaming I'd get back into them...and finding them too big too!!! Well, mostly just too ugly, but still. It's nice to get rid of them without thinking twice. (And hubs is happy because he's getting his man-cave shelves back.)

  15. I totally hear ya on this! When I find stuff in my closet that I haven't worn in forever I still sometimes cringe about trying it on but when I do I'm like "oh" it's actually too big and I have to give it away! I'm with Catherine too on having to put jeans and stuff into the dryer to shrink them up a bit!

  19. I used to just NOT WASH my clothes very much at all because I didn't want them to shrink up, now I wash everything constantly because everything is so baggy! I know exactly how you feel... it is awesome, huh! My clothes from last summer didn't fit at first.. now I am wearing them all the time and they are getting loose!

  22. Yup. Really cool. I pulled a pair of jeans off my shelf last weekend for the "cool" night at the cottage-and they were too big. Happening a lot to many of us. WooHoo!

  24. OOOOH YES! I had lunch with my mom the other day and she insisted on taking me to Kohl's afterward to buy me a new shirt to wear because what I was wearing looked like "a tent" and I was "swimming" in my clothes. This is after I was told by the band nurse last week, "Oh honey, you can't wear those pants anymore. They're going to fall off. You need to realize how much weight you've lost." And THEN, my husband told me tonight how great I am looking but I NEED TO BUY NEW CLOTHES. What an awesome feeling!

  25. I love opposites!! I am so happy that I can actually put my clothes in the dryer now instead of hanging them around the house like a chinese laundry mat!!

  27. I know the feeling! I had to do interviews at work last week and NONE of my business clothes fit me. Such a wonderful thing! ....dare I say even better than finding $20 in last years coat pocket?
