Something Yummy!

So the other day, I'm in the grocery store, and I'm looking at tuna because my kid could eat it every day, and frankly, I like it too because it's super high in protein, and it fills me up (I prefer it with tons of mayo, but I eat it plain sometimes too). And I see these cans of flavoured tuna from Clover Leaf. And they're on sale for like 99 cents a can, so I get a few. The other day, I decide to try one, and it !!freaking changed my life!!, so I figure I'd tell you guys about it (I kind of feel like a lame product placement in The Biggest Loser, but seriously, this was SO good!)

I don't know if you crazy Americans can get Clover Leaf stuff, but Canadians, go out and try these if you haven't! And Americans, if you live close to a border, you must cross it to try these extremely band friendly little treats!

I tried the spicy Thai flavoured one (had a little chili pepper on top of it...so cute!) and it was lovely and spicy and the little can was the perfect amount to keep me full for 5 hours! FIVE HOURS!! And not that I'm giving the fine folks at Clover Leaf ALL the credit for the 5-ish pounds I lost this week...but I'm sure the tuna had something to do with it!

  3. I love these too!!!

The only one I can't eat without wanting to gag is the spicy garlic pepper one- it's a weird combo. There used to also be a peanut thai one (was replaced with spicy thai chili as shown above) that was NASTY. Like beyond disgusting.

My favourite flavour is the one with tomato, but the lemon and pepper is a staple at our house.

An american brand makes an equivalent but they're not as varied or as delicious ;-)

  9. 5 pounds woman??? That's awesome.
I love canned tuna - it was the only real craving I had while pregnant. I actually had it for lunch today and it's so filling - I need to eat it more.

  11. In the states there's Starkist? in foil packages that's really similar. I love them, and that reminds me, because I haven't bought any in a while, and they are a fabulous way to stay full and for me to fight snackiness.

I wanted to tell you that if I were your m-i-l, I would LOVE YOU. That would be more than fun. We're almost the same age, so it might be a little weird. But fun. Definitely fun.

Did you see "Hot Tub Time Machine"? Mr. W and I always quote "you're welcome" from that... hilarious because the 80's were awesome.
