I've Lost My Three Year Old!

Don't panic...this is stolen from TracyZ, who's lost her dogs! I've lost MORE than my three year old, actually, since he weighs about 37lbs! Cool! Everybody...this will be so fun...post what "thing" you've lost!

  1. Thanks for your comment on my blog. Your post title gives me heart palpitations!!! I have a 5 year old and I am crazed about keeping him in sight whenever we are anywhere out of the house (sometimes in house too-- I'll check him in the middle of the night and sometimes get nervous when he is all bundled and under his blankets and I can't 'find' him!)

    Ha ha

Anyway: WOWOWOWOWOWOW ! On your weight loss... amazing! I hope you're feeling great about yourself.

  2. Gilly: I just noticed you're a funeral director. I know I am a dork to say this but I loved '6 feet under' on HBO. Did you find it at all realistic? (I know it was fantasy, especially the talking ghosts... but is that what your life is like to some extent? ) Fascinating job!!!

  3. It's not an uninteresting job, that's for sure. Six Feet Under did keep things pretty realistic in a lot of ways. We didn't have quite the unending supply of interesting characters (although I did work at a funeral home downtown Toronto that had it's share of homeless people, trannies, crazies, what have you, off the streets of TO...never a dull moment...like the time we caught a guy whacking off in the front lobby! Good times!) Also, Six Feet Under had a remarkable number of young people who died. Really, it's mostly the elderly, and when we have someone younger, it's a much sadder event. All in all, I loved the show, and was sad when it ended.

  4. I've lost a small adult! Working on losing a full adult! I want to end up at 150 lbs, which means I will have lost 150 lbs. I've got 40 more to go...

Oh, and I would LOVE to hear about any paranormal experiences you've had. I like a good ghost story. Our family has had some good ones. I know it's assuming alot that you've had any, but I would think your profession would lend itself. Just wondering.

  6. I've lost my bowling ball. I look forward to losing both of my children and hopefully someone elses! (Mine are only 47 lbs combined.)

  7. Congrats!!! It really is crazy to put our weight loss into perspective that way. It is way more visual than saying something like, "I've lost 32 pounds!"

  8. Hi Gilly,

Just found your blog and wanted to say hello. I live in Toronto and had surgery on Jan 14th at another surgery centre. Congrats on your success thus far and I look forward to following your journey.

    I've lost a 25 pound toddler!

    Take care.
