The Stitch Is Out

I am 2 weeks and a day into this, and the last stitch is out, and I'm healing very nicely, according to the good folks at the SWLC. Sadly I didn't get to see super hot Dr. Mumford, but I did get the ok to eat regular food again! Thumbnail sized pieces, chewed super well, a cup of food and then walk away. Ok. I can do that. I also got the ok to start riding my recumbent exercise bike for short periods of time. Maybe that will kick start the weight loss. I can't wait to be able to start swimming again. Ahhhh...nothing like wearing a bathing suit in public at the fetid public pool!

On the upside of today, I accidentally got sent a 10% off coupon at Sephora, which then got taken back, but because they effed up, I got ANOTHER 10% coupon to say they were sorry for sending the first one. So I went into Sephora and got some goodies inculding an eyeshadow primer that I've been dying to try. Then I went over to MAC and got some kicky new eyeshadows and lipstick and some black nail polish that I am loving. So at least my "such a pretty FACE" will look awesome!

Now...what to make these people for dinner?

  1. Hi Gilly, thanks for the comments on my blog. I actually like the thick chocolate shake. Maybe my nose is still plugged from my cold so I don't smell them. Give me another week. Just chowed down on half a cucumber. Picked up a bunch of low glycemic veges at the store but for some reason they are all green except for the radishes. I'm going to try a roast off tomorrow with the brussel sprouts and mushrooms. Only 39 shakes to go. BTW, I was wondering if it was worthwhile for me to go back to SWLC for the 2 week followup after surgery. If it is only to remove a stitch, I can do that. I wasn't sure when we get our first fill. Did they tell you? So did I say only 39 shakes to go?

  2. Gilly,

I just started reading your blog today. You're great! And, you'll do great, too. Congrats on your recent band, and I can't wait to read more.

  6. Thanks Lara and Heather for the compliments! Love that!! Roo, I got Espresso (for every day) and then I got Scene, Vex, and Satellite Dreams. Trying out the purples. The Scene is greyish, but it goes more blue with a blue and more purple with a purple. Very versatile! I also got a Honeylove lipstick - very neutral.

Melissa, I got the Urban Decay Primer Potion, which I've heard good things about, but I also bought the Too Faced Shadow Insurance, so I can see which one I prefer. I don't really love the wand in the Urban Decay one...we'll see!

  7. Gilly,

That's funny about the poop. I think that way, too! Oh, and I love your wonder woman pic... I sent it to my husband yesterday because he has a "thing" about wonder woman. He didn't even notice she was chubby, which is fabulous in my book. Anyway, thanks for your comment... I hope that works... :)
