First belly dancing class, and if I do say so, I was clearly born to do this! Seriously I rocked it! Ok, maybe not as much as I think I did; admittedly, there were no mirrors, but I felt like a leaf on the wind. Who knew I was so graceful? And best part? My teacher is going to get us all hip scarves! Thank you Amy W., I appreciate but will not require your scarf-getting services. I am wildly excited about the hip scarf...seriously. I need to get out more!
I know all this excitement about making it through one belly dancing class is a little over the top, but you have to appreciate a) how truly fat I am still, and b) that my knee is so totally destroyed that I've pretty much been sitting on my ample ass for over a year and wasn't even confident that I could STAND through an hour and a half dance class, never mind DANCE one! This is a pretty huge day for me, NSVishly speaking.
Did I tell you I was going to get a jingly hip scarf that JINGLES??? I may never take it off!
