I Really AM A Superhero!!

Not really, but I did save a life!  In case you haven't read, Joey is alive today because of ME and my freakshow paranoia! Do you hear that?  It's the sound of me tooting my own horn!  Toot toot!  I'm pretty full of myself today because of the life saving...and also glad that Joey doesn't have to get half-price pedis for the rest of her life!

With regards to the book, I'm about 1/3 of the way in (I would be further, but things like children injuring themselves, and them requiring food etc. are really getting in the way of mummy's "me" time!)  I will say that in spite of my initial feelings sadness that I am NOT the most hilarious and original fatty, this book has already made me laugh until tears were rolling down my chubby cheeks.  All of you who bought it just based on the previous blog, NICE WORK!  I guarantee you are going to love it!

With regards to food and eating:  last week I went to my local Indian restaurant and bought a bag of beef samosas, a bag of veggie samosas, and a pound of veggie pakoras (I live in a suburb of Toronto with a huge Indian population, and let me tell you, the resulting explosion of Indian restaurants is not getting any complaints from THIS fat girl!)  I've found that a samosa is about EXACTLY enough food to keep me full for 4 hours.  And based on the scale from last week, it was working for me.  So today I will go and get some more.

Oh and Bathing Suit Challengers, just so you know:  the tilt of the earth seems to be letting up for me, gravitationally speaking.  I'm coming for ya!

  1. I'll have to try the samosa thing. I have some in the fridge right now. So glad all worked out with Joey. I too was worried.

You must put the newspaper picture she made on your blog. You only get to be a life-saver a few times in your life and you need to put it with all your other awards.
